Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada and is American. She has released more than 20 albums. The music of DiFranco is classified as folk, alternative and rock, but it also has hints of jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco was among the first artist to launch her own label in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered as one of the feminist icons. DiFranco was a born on 23rd September 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her mother was born in Montreal as is her father, who is Italian heritage. Ani Difrasco wrote and sang the song "32 Flavors". The track was first released on DiFranco's 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. This song appears on the film soundtrack for the Canadian romantic drama Better Than Chocolate from 1999. In 2013, DiFranco apologized when it was discovered that she was hosting the three-day event on the former Louisiana plantation for slaves.
