Ariel Winter, born Ariel Winter Workman (Janurary 28, 1998) in Los Angeles California is an American actor, singer and voice-actor. Ariel began her acting career at a young age, starring in a Cool Whip commercial at age 6. In the age of seven, she landed her very first television role on an episode on CBS's popular sitcom, Listen Up! Monk Bones followed, as did ER. In 2007 was cast as Gretchen on the Disney Original Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb. In 2007, she appeared as her first live-action character in the role of Alex Dunphy, on the popular TV show Modern Family. With the cast of Modern Family she received the Screen Actors Guild Award in the past four years for the Best Ensemble Comedy Series. Ariel still does voice acting and voice acting, including characters like the ParaNorman CloudyWithAChanceOfMeatballs, and Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel is a Taekwondo purple belt. She is the older sister of actor Shanelle Workman as well as Jimmy Workman. She's a singer who has her own band WickedSweet. Additionally, she's involved with charities that promote greener living.
